Errata (Errata (Paper 1))

For the article, “Errata for How much damage can a 6 year-old possibly do? An analysis of the cost of raising a child like Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes,” by the Editor-in-Chief of the Proceedings of the Natural Institute of Science (PNIS), which appeared in Volume 1, October 3, 2014, of Proceedings of the Natural Institute of Science-HARD (Volume 1, Errata (Paper 1); first published October 3, 2014, and available online here), twitter user Hans Zauner (@HansZauner) pointed out that the subjournal designation of the Errata article was listed as Proceedings of the Natural Institute of Science-SOFD, when in fact it should have been listed as Proceedings of the Natural Institute of Science-HARD. Thus, on page 1, the first sentence should read, “...which appeared in Volume 1, September 12, 2014, of Proceedings of the Natural Institute of Science-HARD...”, and not “...which appeared in Volume 1, September 12, 2014, of Proceedings of the Natural Institute of Science-SOFD....” The Editor-in-Chief deeply regrets this mistake.

These errors do not alter the conclusion of the article that the author of the original article underestimated the amount of damage done by Calvin by $0.08.
